Love: A supernatural Action by: Rev. Dr. Carlton Dennis Love is a supernatural action, That acts without expectation. It is so patient and kind, It bothers the mind. Envying it is not, Bragging and pride it just ain’t got. Rudeness, selfishness and anger it repels, And when it’s wronged it rings no bells. In evil it has no delight, But with truth it is as bright as a light. Love is a supernatural action, That gives others the benefit of the doubt No matter what the it’s about And it always provides protection; No matter what the situation. Of others, it thinks the best, And never waivers like the rest. Love is a supernatural action, That targets people in every condition. It cares not if you are A friend, Or a foe, An exciting person, Or just a simple bore. It reaches out to the relative, The stranger, And the neighbour next door. Love is a supernatural action Born of God To every generation Demonstrated ably by the Son, Through the sacrificial act, Which, He has done. It’s poured out in man’s heart, Not because he is smart; But through an act of holy rite, It is birthed by the Holy Spirit. Carlton A. Dennis (July 8, 2009)
